Ruben Gray

Hi I'm Ruben, an aspiring film maker who is looking for opportunities within the film and TV industry. I have recently graduated from Manchester's Metropolitan University with a BA in filmmaking. My predominant role is director and I have seen success within this role, my film "DIVE" being screened at the BAFTA & BIFA qualifying Bolton Film Festival.

I like to create simple character driven narratives within worlds that are similar to our own but with fantastical/bizarre differences. This lends itself to my preferred genre of comedy, as it allows for my films to highlight the absurdity that is always around us.​ ​​​​​

Though directing is my primary role I have a great passion for camera, production design, sound and edit. I have worked within all of these roles and find the experience very fulfilling. Furthermore, developing my knowledge within theses areas has been important in how it has influenced my directing.

As such I am always seeking to gain experience within any sector of film, as the impact it has had and continues to have on my overall abilities is invaluable.
